DSAT Tec Deep Technical Diving Course at TecEvolution Thailand, Koh Chang

TecRec DSAT Tec Deep Diver (Tec Deep Diver Level 2) Course, Why ?

If you're interested in technical diving, and if you meet the pre requisites, you can consider enrolling in the DSAT Apprentice Tec Diver course. The DSAT Tec Deep Diver course takes you past recreational diving (50 metres) and immerses you in the world of technical diving. It is the first Decompression diving Level of the DSAT programs. The first part of the course being the Tec Deep Diver Level 1, you can upgrade from this course if you meet the The DSAT Tec Deep Diver course pre requisites.

What do I need to start Technical Diving with DSAT Tec Deep Diver Course ?

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • PADI Enriched Air Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • PADI Deep Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Have a minimum of 100 logged dives of which 20 must be enriched air dives, 25 dives must be deeper than 18 metres/60 feet and at least 15 dives must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
  • Minimum age: 18 years old
  • If you do not meet these pre requisites yet but want to go tech, consider enrolling a tec deep diver level 1 course or signing up for an all inclusive traineeship package.

What will I do during that Technical Diving Course ?

After successful completion of the DSAT Tec Deep Diver course you'll be able to conduct gas-switch extended no-decompression dives, decompression dives and accelerated decompression dives using air and enriched air to a depth of 50 metres/165 feet. You'll also understand the hazards and risks involved in technical diving, as well as how to prepare for and handle reasonable foreseeable technical diving emergencies.. For these dives you will use a standardized Technical Diving Harness and Double Bladder Wing, Twin Tanks with insulator manifold, and 3 to 4 regulators (Back Gas and Stage Tanks).

What will I need ?

You will need the Tec Deep Student Crew-Pak, which includes student manual, planning slate and checklist slate, (this crewpack is not included in TecEvolution Course Prices), which you already have if you Upgrade from a Tec Deep Level 1 course.
You will also need a bottom timer or computer (ideally a multi gas computer), a liftbag, and a reel (all of these are included in TecEvolution All Inclusive Traineeship Packages)

How Much Will This Cost ?

All DSAT training materials and all the main equipment rental are on the top of the price of the course. You also need a bottom timer or multi gas computer, a liftbag, and a reel if you don't have any (these are included in TecEvolution All Inclusive Traineeship Packages), and to pay for your gases (check out the price of the fills here). Luckily for you, TecEvolution is a trimix gas blending facility offers the cheapest Nitrox fills in Koh Chang to its students.
