TDI Advanced Wreck Diver Technical Diving Course at TecEvolution Thailand, Koh Chang

TDI Advanced Wreck Diver Course, Why ?

This course provides training and experience to competently conduct advanced wreck dives. This program includes penetration skills and techniques at depths that shall not exceed 55msw, but limited to the level in which the diver is already trained. The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper techniques, equipment requirements and hazards of wreck diving.

What do I need to start a TDI Advanced Wreck Diver Course ?

On TecEvolution's Nikon D70s
  • Be certified as an Advanced open water diver
  • Be certified as Basic Wreck or Cavern or equivalent
  • Be a minimum age of eighteen (18)
  • Show proof of at least fifty (50) logged dives

If you do not meet any of these pre requisites yet but want to go technical wreck diving, consider enrolling an all inclusive traineeship package. Being a TDI Extended Range Diver or TDI Trimix Diver or combining one of these courses with the TDI advanced wreck diver is strongly recommended

What will I do during that TDI Advanced Wreck Diver Course ?

The TDI Advanced Wreck course is the next step for any diver that has taken a wreck diver course. During this course, your TDI Instructor will teach you the proper techniques for locating and planning a penetration dive. The advanced wreck course is commonly taught with other popular TDI course such as advanced nitrox, decompression procedures, extended range, closed circuit rebreather, and trimix. The course covers topics and skills like
  • Use of guidelines
  • Overhead emergency procedures
  • Redundant equipment requirements
  • Locating and identifying wrecks
  • Hazards of wreck diving
  • Surveying of wrecks
The TDI Advanced Wreck Diving manual covers all the most commonly used wreck diving techniques in cold and warm water. The manual also covers team diving techniques and preservation of wrecks.

What will I need ?

You will need the TDI Advanced Wreck Diver Book (this book is not included in TecEvolution Course Prices).
You will also need a bottom timer or computer (ideally a multi gas computer), a liftbag, a spool, and a reel (all of these are included in TecEvolution All Inclusive Traineeship Packages)

How Much Will This Cost ?

All TDI training materials and all the main equipment rental are on the top of the price of the course. You also need to buy a bottom timer or multi gas computer, a liftbag, a spool, and a reel if you don't have any (these are included in TecEvolution All Inclusive Traineeship Packages), and to pay for your gases (check out the price of the fills here). Luckily for you, TecEvolution is a trimix gas blending facility offers the cheapest Nitrox and Helium fills in Koh Chang to its students.
