TDI Advanced Trimix Diver Course, Why ?

This course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gases containing Helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising Nitrox and/or Oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 100msw.

This new adventure promises challenges and excitement whilst calling upon all of your previously learnt skills, knowledge and experience. Mixed gas diving, like all decompression diving, results in a ‘virtual overhead’ environment similar to that experienced by cave divers, thus requiring techniques and equipment back-up. Your TDI Instructor will acquaint you with the necessary procedures and techniques whilst demonstrating the proper attitude required at this level.

By the time you enrol in this course you will have been indoctrinated in both the physics and physiology of diving. This course will review all these subjects and further enhance the role that Helium plays in our safe diving process. You will be expected to learn techniques of gas use, solve simple math problems and be responsible for your physical fitness and mental preparedness.

This course is well suited to be undertaken in conjunction with the TDI Advanced Gas Blender course

What do I need to start a TDI Advanced Trimix Diver Course ?

Have a minimum certification as an Extended Range Diver or Trimix Diver (or equivalent)
Show proof a minimum of one hundred (100) logged dives with twenty five (25) deeper than one hundred (100) feet/ thirty (30) metres
Be a minimum age of eighteen (18)
Prior logged experience w/ double cylinders, stage cylinders and any other equipment to be used on the course.

If you do not meet any of these pre requisites yet but want to go advanced trimix technical diving, consider enrolling a TDI trimix diver course or better, signing up for an all inclusive traineeship package.

What will I do during that TDI Advanced Trimix Diver Course ?

The TDI Advanced Trimix Diver course is the top level of training for open circuit divers wishing to dive to depths as deep as 100 m / 330 feet utilizing hypoxic levels of oxygen (below 17 percent). This course is perhaps one of the most informative and challenging and upon completion you are among some of the most elite divers. Your TDI Instructor will teach you

Equipment management
Multiple stage cylinder labeling and placement
Complex decompression planning and contingency planning
Dive team awareness and communication
Gas monitoring and management
Use of travel gasses

The TDI Advanced Trimix manual is one of the most up to date manuals and includes all the latest of technology and practices being used.

Where can I go from there ?

Once you're a graduated advanced trimix diver, you are the most accomplished open circuit diver. However, if you want to actively trimix dive and with the cost of helium, TecEvolution Team strongly recommends you to choose the path they chose and enrol in a closed circuit rebreather course. What will I need ?

You will need the TDI Advanced Trimix Diver Book (this book is not included in TecEvolution Course Prices).

How Much Will This Cost ?

All TDI training materials and all the main equipment rental are on the top of the price of the course. You also need a bottom timer or multi gas computer, a liftbag, and a reel if you don't have any (these are included in TecEvolution All Inclusive Traineeship Packages), and to pay for your gases (check out the price of the fills here). Luckily for you, TecEvolution is a trimix gas blending facility offers the cheapest Nitrox and Helium fills in Koh Chang to its students. To reduce the cost of gases, we recommend you to take this course in conjunction with a closed circuit rebreather dive course
